Seven days, fourteen birds, one finished book. The useful part wasn’t the pencil. It was giving myself permission to wander for a moment and then come back. Keeping this little habit.

A small reading experiment: I’m leaving a pencil inside my book. Whenever my mind wanders, I’ll draw a tiny bird in the margin and return to the page. I suspect this book is about to become an aviary.
